Photographing the Ganges at Ahiritola Ghat

Some photographs come from planned trips, while others happen when you simply stop and look around. I took this photograph of the Ganges from Ahiritola Ghat in Kolkata at around 5 PM . I was using my  Phone,  and I decided to capture the scene as I saw it. I was simply at the ghat, looking across the river, when the scene caught my attention. The Photograph The photograph captures the Ganges from Ahiritola Ghat , with the river, boats, opposite bank and evening sky forming the main elements of the scene. What attracted me was the combination of the wide river and the changing appearance of the sky around evening. Instead of concentrating on one small subject, I wanted the photograph to show the overall environment. Photographing Coloured Sky in Phoolbagan

Sometimes an interesting photograph appears during an ordinary walk. I captured this photograph in Phoolbagan, Kolkata , at around 4:20 PM . I was standing on the street in front of a lake when I noticed the changing colours of the sky. I had my Phone  with me, so I decided to capture the scene. There was no planned photography session, special equipment or editing afterward. I simply noticed the scene and photographed it as I saw it. The Photograph The photograph captures the colourful evening sky together with the lake and the surroundings around it. The sky was the part that immediately caught my attention. The combination of pink, violet and orange tones made the scene look different from an ordinary afternoon view.
